...that I found via Becky Higgins' blog and were made by a few crafty ladies from the blog listed (in the photo above).
I also plan to make a few candy apple pies for this weekend. One for my fam and one for a DF who lost her husband just over a year ago while vacationing in Mexico. She and her husband use to run up the auction $'s bidding on my candy apple pies that I had donated for my boys' Boy Scout bake sale fundraiser. One year her hubby paid $90 for one pie! After the auction, my friend and her hubby called to tell me how much they l-o-v-e-d the pie and enjoyed it! (That warms a baker's heart as those of you who like to craft or bake know and can appreciate)! Anyways, when I told my friend she would be receiving one this week, it put a smile on her face, because, she said, it brings back "great memories" shared with her Bill.
So, here's to spring, to Easter, to the resurrection of my Lord, to friends & family, sunshine, open window weather (despite my allergies, I love the smell of spring) , to hopping bunnies and egg hunts, to green grass, chirping birds, Sunrise church service, kite flying & tennis playing and to putting a smile on a face of a friend!
May you all have a safe, healthy and blessed Easter weekend! - Suz
