Hi All! Dropping in really quick to say hello before I get back to washing linens, cleaning house, and preparing for Thanksgiving and my home filled with my nuclear family +2. Excited for it to arrive but not quite ready.

I just wanted to stop in and remind you/give you a heads up on a few scrappy items.

Elle's Studio: Is having her largest sale ever!! Here is a bit of info about it:

And how thoughtful of Cocoa Daisy to move up their reveal day and chat night to accommodate all of us Stateside who celebrate gratitude this week? Awesome?! Yes. Early shopping?! Yes. With my pjs on from home? Yes. Yes. Yes!

I am loving the color palette in December's kits and the woodgrain veneer, flair, and washi? Not to mention the exclusive patterned paper. Oh my…
definitely going to ask Santa for a few stocking stuffers from here. ;)

Here is a bit of helpful info:

Product Showcase: Maggie Holmes Flea Market Collection - Come On Get Crafty

This past weekend, someone turned another year wiser and the celebrating began on Fri. and continued on to Sun where said someone met up with the dearest of friends for a yummy lunch and a whole lot of laughter. A whole lot.
Here is what I created with this fun line. (*washi tape is from my stash)

I love the subtle addition of colors and depth that the photo overlays add to the layout.

I cut up the bits of sentiments that best represented this memorable day for me and lined them up along my washi border backdrop and then stitched. A little bit of layering of some of the Crate Paper Accent Stickers and some misting and it was done.

Project Life | November 4-10.2013

Hi all! Today I am sharing you my PL spread from last week; November 4-10.2013. This week showcases a school field trip to Laura Ingalls Wilder's homesite and farm, a really fun restaurant where the servers playfully prank patrons and you can write all over the floor with Sharpie pens, marching band banquet, nature walk, fall cabin clean up and more.

I began my PL spread by gathering a collection of COGC shop goodies: wood veneers, alpha and border stickers, patterned papers, and paperclips. I  added them to a collection of journaling cards and tags that I  had in my stash (Cocoa Daisy, Elle's Studio, Chic Tags are all represented here). I was really happy with my end result as the COGC shop goodies paired really nicely with all of these manufacturers! Just a nice reminder to not be afraid to mix and match lines and products. :)

***For the left side of my spread I used Becky Higgins Project Life Page Protector Design G and Design B for the right side.***

November Elle's Studio Exclusive Kits | Design Team Gallery Subs

Hi all! Back here with you today because today is Launch Day over at Elle's Studio which means Elle's November kit is on sale until midnight PST for $9.99 while supplies last. After midnight, the price goes to $11.99.

Here is this month's kit:

I used several tags/journaling cards from this fun kit on my PL spread here:

And I put to great use the complementary October  cut files on this journaling card. Love how this file looks with two different woodgrain patterned papers!
And the vellum "oh so wonderful" tag was fun to cut down into a circle to make a 4x6 card celebrating some very happy mail I received recently, (news of which I can't share just yet-but promise I will do so as soon as I can-so for now the journaling is tucked behind this card). ;)
I used the Cameron OH SO FUN stamp set to add my own touch to this card from this month's kit. My oldest son's HS marching band won a huge competition over this particular week in our lives and I wanted to celebrate this on my PL spread. Love those little wood veneer stars that are part of a Limited Edition holiday collection by Elle.

Up next is a card I made using a sentiment from this month's kit:

I absolutely love those wood veneers and am afraid I may completely use up my collection of them very soon!

Here's an invitation I made using the feminine Penelope line in a non-traditional way:

The silver and gold effect the "joy" has as a result of me embossing with Gold and Silver Zing really makes this title pop on the page of my sweet momma. Still smiling despite the grief we were all feeling over the loss of my sister Linda and her absence on this family Christmas skiing trip. Bittersweet.

I used my exact knife to cut out and fold back the squares of the green pp to highlight woodgrain pp beneath and to help repeat the woodgrain elements on my layout. I used my Silhouette to cut out the star pattern and then stitched around a few for added texture without the bulk.

There you have it! Hopefully a little bit of everyday and holiday inspiration to get you started on your craftiness!

Happy Sunday! Have a great week!

I'm Stargazing Tonight! Will You Be? | Cocoa Daisy Kits

Hi all! Hope you had a great Halloween! Ours was rainy and windy, but thankfully, the rain cleared up about 15 minutes before we made our trek around the neighborhood.

The cousins enjoyed there time together racing to each house for treats. Cousin B kept trying to hide from the homeowners and pop out ninja style for an impressive entrance! Was kinda funny how he went about it.

At this particular house, he called out to us, "One minute!! There's A TON of stuff to choose from!" One serious LOL moment for us rents hanging back street side.

As far a s pumpkin carving goes? Ummm yeah...that. I actually bought a pumpkin yesterday and it still sits patiently, waiting for us to work some magic on it. Perhaps in time for Thanksgiving me thinks! ;)

So, on to Stargazing? Come join in on the Fall Crop over at Cocoa Daisy Kits tonight! It is sure to be a bunch of fun!! It's a huge online crop, with lots of scrappy chatter, challenges, giveaways, tips and tricks (or creative treats!) Would love to see you there! The crop runs all weekend long, so if you already have plans tonight, there is always tomorrow and Sunday! :)
