A special shout out to Natt for sponsoring SMB this month! Thanks for joining us! :) :)
Now, on to my creations and a little bit about them!
When these little pieces of "scrap candy" made it into my mailbox? Well, I squealed. They are so adorable and I love that they add texture, dimension, and pops of color to my creations!
The little square candies reminded me straight off of gumdrops! And when I saw them they reminded me of my big sis, "Linny," and how much she loved gumdrops. So, these little scrap candy "gumdrops" inspired me to create a layout of some of her favorite things. (For those of you who may not know, we lost my sister suddenly about 2.5 years ago. So, I often turn to something I love--scrapbooking, to help remember her and to leave some lasting memories for me, my niece and nephew, and the rest of the family and friends she left behind. Scrapbooking is my form of grief therapy. (Thanks for listening).
Now, on to my layout! :) It is bright and fun and cheerful and totally screams Linda! (I know she would approve. :) :) She was all about big, bright, bold, and bling!! ;)
And here are a few cards I created with the puffy things.

For this card, I broke into my jar of modeling paste again and used the Glitz roller doodle anchor stamp to make the background texture. Then I painted over it with gelatos and metallic watercolor paints.
I really love the added texture and dimension it gives to the card and plan on getting creative with mixed media again really soon! (Thanks Wilna Furstenburg and Rhonda Palazzari!!)
