I am so excited to finally be able to share that I will be a part of the Cocoa Daisy Creative Team starting with January's kit, Blueprint, (sneaks and info you will find below).
>>>A special thank you to Christine and Emily for inviting me and entrusting me to design with Cocoa Daisy products and for believing in me! Another thank you to my fellow designers who have given me such a warm welcome! xo -Suz <<<
Be on the lookout for the sneaks on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and ourmessage boards. Search for the #CocoaDaisySneaks hash tag. ;)

Now back to gift wrapping! After reading Jen Hatmaker's 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess this past January, we decided to simplify things a bit in our home and this included gift giving. As a result, we are following the mantra/philosophy: Want. Need. Wear. Read. with the idea that each family member will receive a gift from each category.
I will be back soon with a post of how I incorporated this mantra/philosophy within the pages of my December Daily album, so be sure to check back later! :)
Ok, off to wrap those gifts and to work on some DD pages! Have a great week leading up to Christmas. And remember:
xo! :)

Thinking Outside the {Gift} Box @ComeOnGetCrafty
Well, hello there! Happy December! I don't know about you, but I have been a busy little elf gearing up for the holiday festivities. And that includes, gift wrapping. I am up over on the Come On Get Crafty blog today here with several says to spruce up your gifts for under the tree.
Here is just a little sneak of what you will find over there:
There are several ideas, so be sure to head on over and check them out!
Oh, and Elf has been my long running favorite Christmas movie in recent years ( you wouldn't have guessed it by anything mentioned in my blog post over at COGC- LOL)
but we just went to see Frozen,
and I must say…it was surprisingly wonderful! So adorable and the soundtrack is awesome. I really, really hope it is made into a Broadway production!!
Back later with more holiday happenings!

Elle's Studio Exclusive December Kit and Limited Edition Holiday Wood Veneers
…are on sale now! This month is packed with all kinds of paper crafting delights just in time for the holiday season; it is perfect for stocking stuffers, gifts under the tree (the tags in the kit are adorable for gift wrapping), and of course to Celebrate December and document it daily in your December Daily albums!
Here is December's fabulous kit:
And then I created several cards, the first of which was super simple and fun to make. (*I ended up adding three wood veneer stars down the left side of the card as an afterthought and at night, so they are not shown here because the lighting was poor). I enjoyed using the Saltwater Confetti paper in a holiday themed way. Super fun to mix it up that way and stretch the various patterned paper collections.
For this card, I cut out a few triangles and backed them with more patterned paper and then stitched around the perimeter. Then I misted the wood veneer stars with Gold Heidi Swapp Shine and the whole card with Mr. Huey Classic White.
I used my Silhouette to cut out the star and then back it with more patterned paper for dimension.
A little bit of stitching around the sentiments, some, star sequins, and a few pop dots to add dimension. Done!
And...I have nearly finished yet another project using these exclusive die cuts too! I will post it a bit later this week.
I used the kit to not only create a PL spread, but also a mini album made with those adorable photo #hashtag tags, a gift tag, and a card! And, I still have a bunch left over to add to my December Daily!
Weather has not been cooperating lighting wise-so a few of these pics are definitely not optimum, but you get the idea.
These photos are a collection of pics taken over several holiday seasons and are just little snippets of life documented daily in December; traditions, memories, favorite gifts, recipes, etc.
The card I made with little tags from the kit along with some jute, a Silhouette snowflake cut and a holiday flair/badge from Evalicious (I believe).
And my PL spread which features several of the tags from the kit as well as from the Noel collection:
The orange and blue cute graphics are from a Discover Card mailer that I simply cut to size and added some October Afternoon Daily Flash washi tape to.
For this tag from the December kit, I simply stamped using the Noel Cheers stamp set ("To: Love:") available in the Elle's Studio shop, adhered a wood veneer snowflake from the limited edition holiday wood veneer sets, and added some jute/hemp.
I love the simplicity and look of this tag with it's woodgrain accents and that it complemented my Christmas paper and woodland Christmas tree so nicely! :) :)

Thanks for hanging in there for this lengthy post! I am sad to say my Design Team term has come to an end with Elle's Studio! It has been such a pleasure designing for Elle and I feel so blessed to have been asked to design with her products! Thank you so much Elle! xo
**Just a note that the kit is on sale for a limited time for $9.99. The price goes up after midnight PST tonight to $11.99. The early bird definitely gets the discount worm, so shop early for the best deals and savings!! ;)
Happy Tuesday all!
