Product Showcase | Freckled Fawn, Crate Paper Pier & Lily Bee Sweet Shoppe

Hi there and happy Wednesday! I am back today to share with you a few ways in which I have incorporated the adorably cute Freckled Fawn wood veneers along with the Crate Paper Pier 6x6 pad as well as the Lily Bee flair and chipboard. (Sorry folks, there are just so many awesome items in the store right now, I just had too much difficulty narrowing down the showcase to just one line! I seem to have a recurring issue with this, don't I?) ;)

First up is a card that highlights a tiny Freckled Fawn wood veneer heart as the focus of the card and of the sentiment.

I simply machine stitched around the pp and used an Xacto to cut out the center for placement of the wood veneer heart. Sometimes I think simple (little) can make a big impact. KWIM? :)

Here's a peek at the inside with the sentiment typed with my vintage cursive typewriter.

This card highlights the Crate Paper Pier Pad although there are a few bits and pieces from other shop item collections.* ;) I created a popsicle die cut in my Silhouette software and used my sewing machine to outline the cut for added texture and dimension.

In this layout below I have highlighted my focal point photo with the Freckled Fawn "remember" sentiment.

And on my Project Life spread I used a few of the adorable Freckled Fawn Clouds to play off of the graffiti in the picture at our local skate park. *Note: I broke out my gelatos again and used the white and light blue to colorize the wood veneers.

And lastly, two cards I created over the weekend at the cabin. I didn't have my Silhouette handy, so I cut out the Coke bottle freestyle. It's not perfect as I was going from memory, but I kinda like that it has a vintage "Old School" Tool (think paper + scissors + glue-lol) feel to it. And my neighbor (the card receiver) loves Coke and loved the card, so that's what matters right? ;)

and here I used the flair/badge as the focal point to my Hello Sunshine. Sadly, the card was either left behind at the cabin or lost in the "Craftermath" of my scrapspace! (Just keepin' it real here people). So, for now I will share my Instagram sneak pic of it. (I will post full pic of the card, once located, in the COGC Inspiration Gallery).

Happy First Day of Summer | Favorites on a Friday

Hi all! Happy "First Day of Summer" to everyone in the Western Hemisphere (and happy Winter to the Eastern!) ;P

Stopping in to share a few projects I have been working on with some of my favorite items from the Come On Get Crafty Shop. With new product being stocked quite frequently now, I am having a hard time choosing which goodies to scrap with first! But here are a few.

(Note: New Freckled Fawn Neon Enamel Dew Drops and washi are due to be in the shop soon. Following my Instagram feed (@SuzMannecke) as well as @ComeOnGet Crafty will help keep you updated with the latest stocked shop items as well as sales and promos! ;)

**Note: Shop Items are linked by simply clicking on each item highlighted in orange below.

I love that this alpha set has several colors and sizes of alphabets and I have been  picking these stickers up often to use on my Project Life spreads, on my layouts, and on my cards to add sentiments as shown below:

*Note: To make the sun, I used some gelatos to color  & paint in yellow and orange hues and then stitched the sunbeams over the top.

I also used some adorable die cuts from the Crate Paper Pier Ephemera pack on this card.

Being that we are "Lake Lovers" here in the Ozarks, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of the Pebbles Lakeside Collection too. I have lots of plans for this collection making it into the pages of my Project Life and elsewhere. :)  Here I have used a few of the journal cards from the Lakeside Journal and Quote Book.

I simply added a bit of embellishments, machine stitching, and then journaled away. Easy peasy. Each card took only a few minutes (and by this I mean less than 5 minutes including the stitching) to create.

Another favorite of mine continues to be epoxy brads. The above "Hello Lovely" brad is from the  shop item: Studio Calico Atlantic Epoxy Brads.

And lastly, a favorite patterned paper of mine; Lakeside Chalkboard.  I know Ginny has highlighted this particular paper in the past as one of her faves too, but I wanted to share with you what I have done with the paper to customize it a bit.
When I first saw this paper, I knew I wanted to use it as the intro page to an album I am creating on "Our Summers." I broke open my new Copic markers and colored in some of the words to have them pop out as the title and then colored in all of the stars too.

Quick and easy to do and I think it has a pretty fun effect. Opposite this page I have started a collage of pics from various summers past, and plan to make a fun page of those pics mixed with embellies from the Lakeside and Atlantic collection. I will be sure to post that layout in the inspiration gallery as soon as it is completed. ;)
So, what are your plans for this "First Day of Summer" weekend? Does it involve lake time? Or scrapping? Or both? Whatever it is, enjoy!! :)

Saturday's Sketch @ComeOnGetCrafty

Hi All,

The COGC DT participated in Adrienne's Saturday Sketch and below is my contribution. I would've  posted earlier, but wasn't near my computer over the weekend.

Here is the sketch (*below). I chose to rotate the sketch 90 degrees.

Check out what the other DT members have created in the Come On Get Crafty Flickr Inspiration Gallery.

**If you want to give this sketch a go, there is a $5 Gift Card giveaway over on the Come On Get Crafty Blog! (*details are found there) While you are at it, have a scrappy friend or carmaker play along with the sketch too!

Basic Grey Hipster Flocked Rub-Ons @ComeOngetCrafty | Product Showcase

Hi there! Today I am highlighting the fabulous flocked rub-ons from Basic Grey's Hipster line over at Come on Get Crafty.
Rub_4107_flockedrubon_837x837_1024x1024
I love that these rub-ons add texture & dimension to a layout or a card while not adding bulk, that they are easy to apply(although they won't rub-off so easily that they accidentally transfer where you don't want them to!) and that they are orange (my favorite color). :)
In honor of Father's Day coming up soon (*June 16) I decided to highlight a bunch of these rub-ons in a card for my sweet hubby.
Raddadcard

Raddadcardclosup
I began by cutting the "Dad" sentiment with my Silhouette and backing it with patterned paper from the (*STORE ITEM) Basic Grey 6x6 Hipster pad. I added the cluster of rub-ons around the Silhouette cut, did some machine stitching, and added some vintage typing to finish off the card. Easy peasy and a fun card for a pretty cool dude!
If  you have had a chance to create with these scrap lovelies, please feel free to share your creations in the Come On Get Crafty Inspiration Gallery.
Happy Wednesday!
