Look Who Has Visitors

My nephew and my momma made it in to town last evening. We enjoyed a nice pizza dinner at a favorite local pizzeria and the cousins spent the evening cuttin it up, banging on the drum set, strummin on the electric guitar, and just enjoying each other's company in general. (Mom and I got to catch up on things as well). After sleeping in this am and a brunch of semi homemade caramel rolls (sans the pecans since I apparently am out) and maple brown sugar link sausages, we headed out to the pool. I couldn't resist snapping a few pics. :)

July Freehand Scraps Sneaks

Hi All! Today is a great day! Know why? Because I finally get to show you some of the scrapping dreaminess of the July Freehand Scraps kit!! The color palette is a wonderful complementation of warm + cheery AND cool breeze freshness. Total put me into the summertime spirit!! It makes me want to go eat watermelon, lemon pound cake, ice cream and bbq. It also is getting me in the spirit to take a road trip to Florida! ;-)

Kids' Camp 2011

 Below, in black, is one of 15 Grand Masters in the world (according to Ian), He is a 9th degree Black Belt-the highest in taekwondo. What was most impressive is that Grand Master Hardin contracted polio at the age of 3 and has a deformed right hand. Totally reminds us all to not take our health for granted and the power of persistence, determination and sheer will.

Father's Day Weekend Lens | 2011

Hope y'all had a nice weekend celebrating the fatherly men in your lives. We took our special "Mick Daddy" down to the lake for some of his favorite activities; boating, eating, enjoying family times. Here are a few captures from this weekend:

 We had the lake all to ourselves...well, nearly! Here the boys are at their usual perches at the front of the boat. They love the way the wind runs through their hair. Can you tell?

It was a great Father's Day weekend and no concussions this year to impede the fun of sparring at taekwondo camp like last year! Thank goodness! One concussion is one too many!
