Our theme for this month is "love" (fitting right?) and Elle's latest lines were the perfect complement to our theme.

If you have been hopping along, you have arrived via the lovely Miss Jenny. If you are just getting started be sure to hop back to the main site and catch everyone's contributions from the beginning! Lots of lovely inspiration there (pun intended)!

I was fortunate enough to make the trip to Anaheim this January to attend CHA-W and to meet up with Elle again. She is such a beautiful gal inside and out and I was so excited to recieve the news that she would be joining us this month on our hop. Her latest designs are so, SO awesome and I am so happy that she has expanded her business to patterned papers too!

Without further prolonging your hopping, here is my scrappy creation for this month, highlighting Elle's  Studio Lil Snippets "You & Me" Labels, Circle Tags and journaling cards. I used my Silhouette Cameo for the heart die; customizing it to fit my creative ideas for the layout. And I broke out my October Afternoon SprINKler and paint brush and set to scrap play. Kinda had a bit of fun distressing the heart with the mist and brush.

I still plan to stitch around the "home" on the title card and add our address as well.

I have used a bunch of Elle's newest releases in my Project Life too. This particular week was featured on Elle's blog recently (thank you Elle for sharing it!):

Seriously so much fun and happiness playing with Elle's Studio newest releases. Be sure to hop on over to each Butterfly's blog and leave a little love along the way! I am always inspired by what my fellow contributors create! Follow along the hop and follow me on Instagram/Twitter "@SuzMannecke"- leaving comments along the way enters you in an Elle's Studio prize pack giveaway pictured below!!!

Next up is the beautiful and talented Malika Kelly. Hop over to her blog here: http://www.malikakelly.blogspot.com/
Have a great day!

Elle's Studio, Studio Calico, Glitz Design, Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy + Project Life | Week 6

Hi all! Stopping in for a quick post of my Wk 6 Project Life and a 2 page layout. Seriously haven't scrapped a 2 pager in years. Have to say it was fun for a change! ;)

Lots of Elle's Studio tags went into my week 6 spread here along with some Studio Calico Dear Lizzy, and Amy Tangerine lines.

I used an insert this week as I had several pics of fun stuff and good times. :) *Click on pic to view larger.

I really enjoyed playing with the Glitz Designs new roller doodles; the wood grain and the cameras. So quick and fun!

And here's a layout made with February's Studio Calico Kit Front Row. When I first saw the exclusive stamp I knew exactly how I wanted to use it. And the Freckled Fawn wide ombre washi? LOVE.
It was cloudy the day I shot this so left side is shadowed. Sorry.

The envelope houses more jounraling and pics from the night of fun in Downtown Disneyland with my CHA Scrappin' Buddies! What a bunch of goofs! Love them all. So authentic and real and lovely human beings!

Be back later with my PL Week 7 and maybe I'll actually get the earlier weeks pics taken too. For now, here's a sneak of what's in store for Week 7:

I've been a bit of a stitchin' fool. :) Be back soon!

Little Black Dress February Kit

Hello love-EEs! :) Hope you are all having a great start to your February. We have been enjoying some really mild weather here. It is taunting us with the hopes of an early Spring.

Dropping in to reveal my design team gallery for this month's LBD kit.  It is an eclectic mix of vintage goodness and graphic patterned papers and I was happy to find both washi and an awesome K & CO Smash glue/pen combo in the kit. Awesome! :)

Here are my designs for this month:

First up is a layout about my grandpa as a babe among the lily pads on Lake Senachwine in Illinois. These photos were taken by my great grandfather who actually scrapbooked. I seriously love that more than 100 years ago he enjoyed documenting his life and his family. I have several of his albums. My only wish? That he would have journaled more. Told me more of the story. Definitely motivates me to want to reallllllly improve on my journaling more in the coming year/s.

How crazy is it that they held him over the edge of the boat? With no life preservers? Gah!
Boy how times have changed.

Above is a little detail shot of the Woodland Park pattern paper from October Afternoon that I fussy cut to form into lilies.

And a layout of my great grandpa holding my grandpa. Love the hat in the foreground of pic and really love the affection being show between the two.

The journaling:

And of course I had to make a few Valentine's cards to celebrate and share the love:
I fussy cut the heart patterned paper (Authentique) with an Xacto knife. I love that the card has dimension but that it still can be folded flat for easy mailing. ;)

And this little guy? How I love him so.  When I saw him in the Silhouette store, I knew he needed adopting. ;)

And my Master Sleuth layout documents my son's use of my grandmother's magnifying glass to help identify coins from his collection.

Lastly, my favorite layout from this kit:

This one. I love this Echo Park Paper! I want at least two sheets of it because the flip side is super fun too-Viewmasters! I have so many plans for that paper. Definitely going to get a few sheets more.

This layout celebrates some fun times and laughter I shared with Allison Waken at January's CHA. Such a lovely, sweet and uber talented gal! "True Blue" goodness in that gal. And she is super fun to hang out with too. We couldn't stop laughing as people kept walking by asking if they could take our picture for us. We were trying to politely explain that we wanted to take the Pocketbooth pics ourselves. I am still laughing at a few of my captures. One of them I have a startling resemblance to a zombie Mick Jagger! Can you spot it? Too funny. (Seriously, why did I scrapbook that pic? LOL)

I misted one of the paper dots to match the layout and cut out some stars and the camera from the Darling Dear patterned paper. The October Afternoon Midway alphas were left over from a previous (and awesome) Little Black Dress kit. Love those alphas. Seriously l-o-v-e.

So there you have it! My gallery for February. I still have a ton of product left from the kit to do several more cards and layouts. Love that every month the kits get better and more generous in content! Have you placed your order yet? If not, what are you waiting for? ;)

Happy scrapping!

Sketchin' with Shanna Noel

After meeting up with crazy talented and lovely (inside and out) Shanna Noel at CHA last month, I was asked by Shanna to join in with her and a few others on a sort of blog hop, of the scrappy sketch type! Of course, I said yes! I love using sketches as jumping off points for my designs and this one was a lot of fun to create from.

Here is Shanna's sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I used my Silhouette to create the title work and anchors. Little bits of new CHA lovelies from Deal Lizzy's Lucky Charm line, Amy Tangerine's Yes Please and some Elle's Studio and Studio Calico too. Really had a lot of fun playing with layers and the Silhouette cuts. Even threw in some texture with some burlap one of my local Scrappin' Sistas gave me.

So, are you ready to play along?
***Link us up with your sketch-inspired designs over on Shanna's sketch post on her blog here: Shanna's blog

Feel free to rotate it or whatevs. It is just a jumping off point for creativity!

Note*: Shanna is giving away a goodie bag to one lucky participant, so be sure to link up! **You have until Feb 12th ;)

Besides Shanna and myself, here are some other blogs of lovely and talented ladies who have joined in on the fun:

May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor | The Hunger Games

Hi all! Just a quick post with a layout I finally got a chance to make. I was inspired by some fontwork of this title on Pinterest to make my own Silhouette file of the title.

Here is the layout:

And, after a few requests on Instagram I am here to share the file

Please link me up with your layouts (in the comments section at the end of this post) as to how you used this file and give credit where credit is due. ;)
 Have fun!
